Wild Fish Equates to Wild Places
Some fisherman who come to the North Maine Woods prefer a remote wilderness fishing experience. Fly-out fishing trips, a “No Road” access is host to dozens of deep water trout ponds within and around the Highlands of Mt. Katahdin. These fisheries are for the Adventurer wanting to fish for wild native brook trout and features these brookies prefer: clean water and no competition from other fish species; just insects for food – and the fly on the end of your line.
These Brookies are really strong and the fight on the end of a line is twice over that of a hatchery fish that is double the size.
Fishing for native brook trout never takes you any place ugly and can only be described as a world of its own. Getting to those remote waters is one of the things that make this fishing trip so special.
It’s a trip that you'll talk about for a lifetime.
